We are always excited to meet you during your first visit to MCO Downtown Toronto, MCO Markham, MCO Oshawa, MCO Scarborough, and MCO Stouffville Orthodontics. This complimentary, initial 30 to 40 minute appointment will consist of digital X-rays and a examination with one of our doctors.
While this information is required for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan, few if any other offices in the area offer such a complete, complimentary evaluation. Despite seeing thousands of new patients, we will make sure we customize the best orthodontic plan for you.
Based upon the examination by the orthodontist, our treatment coordinator will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a dental or health condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures and options will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
The treatment coordinator will also work out a customized financial plan with you and discuss the sequence of appointments. If your doctor has recommended treatment, we will help get you ready to begin your treatment. Many of our patients are happy and enjoy the convenience of beginning treatment on their initial visit.
Orthodontic Insurance Assignment Accepted!
Unlike your family dentist, orthodontic specialists do not generally accept insurance directly from your insurance company, because claims must be done via paper instead of electronically. At MCO Orthodontics, we have created a system where we are able to accept your insurance directly, as long as your policy accepts written insurance assignment claims.
This will help reduce your out-of-pocket costs, shrink your monthly payments, and more important, take away the stress and work of sending monthly claims yourself! For this reason, our new patient coordinators will ask you for your insurance information before your consultation so they can help coordinate your benefits.
We will check with your general dentist to see if any orthodontic imaging or X-rays were taken within the last year, such as the ones below. If you have had these images taken at another consultation, please arrange to have these materials present (hard or digital copies) during your first visit so we can minimize your radiation exposure and present you with the proper information. Thank you!
